Historia

Being Forward-looking. Creation Pioneers.

At the beginning of the 1980's heating systems started to undergo drastic changes. Given that they represent a substantial outlay (in terms of cost, consumption and installation) and the fact that users began to question these systems and request new home heating options, the first tentative steps were taken to come up with an alternative heating system.

Stimulated by this need, plumbers in the Nalón river basin, in the heart of Asturias (Spain), began to use radiators with resistors. These radiators gradually left the traditional, hot water heating with centralised boiler, in their wake and seemed set to become the system of the future.

However, these first electric radiators, in spite of significantly reducing the problem of installation brickwork, failed to answer two of the most pressing problems: cost and consumption. The materials used to make them were not the most suitable to transmit heat and failed to live up to the required performance.

With the passing of time, demand became increasingly greater. This opened up a range of possibilities for companies in the sector, which set the development of more competitive and balanced systems, in terms of customer cost and consumption, as their goal ...and not a very easy one at that.

The first electric, plate and infrared heaters saw the light of day, followed later on by storage heaters

Latent sector shortcomings inspired an Asturian businessman, a specialist in heating and a highly esteemed entrepreneur in the mining district, to set up Acesol.

Creation of a new concept: El Calor Azul®

Acesol was born of a dream of developing a heating system that would improve on existing market options, always guided by the principles of quality, innovation and continuous improvement. We call the qualities that a good electric heating system must possess (healthy and environment friendly heat, low consumption, high efficiency, quality and cost balance components) El Calor Azul®.

In 1990, after years of research, the first low consumption, high performance Thermal radiator was launched on the market. Acesol El Calor Azul® had been born.
